here will be two days in which attendees will have the opportunity to attend interesting panel presentations and round tables, as well as participate in an industrial match making. Experts will address the following topics:

  • Trends, challenges and new solutions in the development of bio-based polymeric materials and composites
  • Challenges and solutions in the processing and recycling of biomaterials and biocomposites
  • Use cases of recycled polymeric materials for different industrial applications
  • Bio-based reinforcements; capabilities, market and new trends
  • Biomaterials: A path to the circular economy

The first day will address the solutions and challenges of bio-based polymeric materials in the packaging, automotive, construction, aeronautics and furniture sectors, with one session focusing on the matrix and another on reinforcements. Current advances in materials, industry case studies and current R&D results will be presented. It will end with an industry roundtable and a B2B session. Parallel to the B2B, from the event will be an open training on research funding opportunities, with the aim to address the following topics:

  • Basic information about Horizon Europe and grants
  • How to search for the right grant/call
  • Essential characteristics of a winning proposal
  • Examples of current calls on the topic of bio-based and sustainable materials

The speakers/trainers are very experienced researchers, Aitiip’s project managers of which currently manages more than 15 Horizon Europe projects and submits more than 60 Horizon Europe grant applications per year. Their main focus is on polymer materials and technologies.

The second day will showcase current research results and will feature plenary speakers and accepted scientific contributions.
